After the lengthy rigmarole that was Initiation 2, we can use a break. Luckily, the next chapter, Initiation 3: Haunting, is one of the breeziest inAlan Wake 2— but we’re providing a walkthrough just in case you don’t want to miss a thing.
Initiation 3: Haunting walkthrough and guide forAlan Wake 2
The good news on that is there really isn’t much to miss. There is one Echo collectible, though most of the chapter consists of you holding forward on a controller or keyboard. Butfor those of you replaying the game, there is one change added by the Final Draft update. Read on to find out what.

Travel to Parliament Tower – Final Draft collectible
Your first order of business is to leave the murder site following the end of the previous chapter. Watch the Echo and then leave through the door at the back of the tunnel. The staircase leads you right back to the Caldera Station. Exit the station platform to return to the city streets.
Parliament Tower, the former New York home of Alan and his wife Alice, is seen directly across from you. This is where you need to go, but first, go back to the payphone and have a nice chat with our mystery friend. He recommends Alan go to Parliament Tower, which is what we already discussed. Keep up, dude.
Inside the tower lobby is a new Echo – Draft One: Alice Wake. Activate it and move toward the elevator.
FINAL DRAFT CHANGE: On the floor of the elevator is a photo called ‘Spark of Light’. Alan remarks that he feels Alice’s presence when he picks the photo up off the floor. In the inventory, the notes on the photo read: “You still need to go through the loop.”
Inside the apartment
There is a jump scare just as the elevator doors start to open, so be prepared. Once you get the shit scared out of you, walk forward past the cameras. You’ll hear the sounds of Alice screaming at someone to leave her alone. Go inside the bedroom and look at the photos on the bed.
Return to the hallway. On the left is a locked door with a drawing of a spiral. Alan mentions that this is his study, where he wrote his books.
Take a left after the hallway to enter the bedroom. There’s a video camera on the coffee table, but it needs a memory card. Head into the kitchen. On the table is a piece of paper with the words “PART 1.”Pick the memory card up off the paper and take it back to the video camera.
Insert the card into the camera and watch the footage of Alice. Once that’s finished, hold the activation button over the picture of Scratch to end the chapter.
