Momentum is key in this PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch game
Bloodrootscaught our attentionback in 2018with its frenetic pace and improvisational combat featuring ladders, among other random objects. Now, it’s ready to test us. The action game lands on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) on August 03, 2025, for $19.99.
The style is crisp in motion, and that’s a high point, but my favorite part is how suddenly Mr. Wolf can vault from foe to foe like it’s nothing. In the right hands, this is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
Bloodrootsseems like it could have thatHotline Miamieffect where I have my preferred approach, and it works for me, but I also want to see how other people make use of the space and tools around them.
As for the plot, it’s a classic revenge tale full of nicknamed characters like Mr. Boar and Ms. Bison.
