No more box breaks

Sony’s online PSN portal took quite a while to get to a serviceable state. While Xbox.com has had pretty much every bell and whistle you could think of years ago, Sony was very slow to adopt a bunch of great quality of life features that make buying and redeeming codes online easier, but they did get there. Nintendo is still light years away.

This week, Sony managed to make one of my favorite innovations yet — the single input box for online codes. Previously,Sony’s systemrequired players to put each subset of a code in three separate boxes. In other words, you couldn’t just copy and paste a code and hit submit. You have no idea how much this bothered me.

As of two days ago the system was still using this legacy input method, but lo and behold as I go to redeem something this morning, it’s all one nice big box. It even automatically removes the dashes (audible gasp).
