Honestly, I never thought I’d say this on the cusp of a new expansion launching and ending a saga, but there’s never been a better time to get intoDestiny 2. Alongside thenew Onslaught activity, easily farmable andpowerful Brave weapons, and load offreebieson the table, Bungie has announced that three expansions would enter a free access period untilThe Final Shapereleases.

While Bungie has been making commendable efforts to mend community relations and enhanceDestiny 2’saccessibility, the game’s paywall has oftendeterred new and returning players. However, with the current Open Access period, players can explore a substantial amount of the game without paying a dime.

What expansions did Bungie make free?

One important note is that this Open Access period does not include the Dungeon Key forThe Witch Queenexpansion or theBungie 30th Anniversary Pack. As such, that content will still have to be purchased if players are keen on partaking in it.
