Dyadis almost ready for release on PSN, and the game is no easier to describe now than it wasthe last time I played it at PAX East 2011. It’s a psychedelic racer puzzle shooter? AnArt Style titlethat’s not an Art Style title? A music-focused anti-rhythm game? Kenta Cho’s freeware classicTorus Trooper, only way better? All of the above?

What I can say is the game is extremely well made, ramping up the difficulty at just the right pace, exactly in time with the progression of the player’s level of skill. It’s also a joy to experience to absorb, with the music and the graphics dynamically evolving depending on how well you play. Fans of the above mentioned developerKenta Cho, theBit.Tripseries, Mizaguchi works likeRezandChild of Eden, and fun games in general would do well to check it out when it’s released later this year.
