According toEA’s recent filing, Xbox 360 software made up half of the revenue EA made from console game sales in the third quarter. They’re like a super-powered mega-American tag team.

Xbox 360 software pulled in $218 million for the publisher while Sony and Nintendo split the other half, with $111 million coming from the PS2, PS3, and PSP and $106 million from the Wii and DS.

According toGamePro, Xbox 360 sales were up 31 percent over last year, as were DS sales (from $14 million to $47 million). The PlayStation 2 suffered the biggest drop, as sales fell to $73 million from $269 million.

The last quarter should prove to be pretty interesting as EA has a huge line up set to come out this holiday season.
