What are Eels used for in Stardew Valley?

There are a few different things that Eels can be useful for, but the most important one is the Night Fishing Bundle. This is part of the process of repairing the Community Center, so you’ll need to catch at least one Eel to progress through the story of Stardew Valley.

You can also use an Eel in the spool of the Sewing Machine to craft a Sailor Shirt, and it can be placed in the Dye Pots at Emily and Haley’s house as an Orange dye.

Eels can be placed in your Fish Pond and will reproduce every three days. Once in your Pond, Eels will produce Eel Roe, which can then be used in the following ways:
