How to get rocks in Valheim
The pet rock is an item inValheimthat you’ll need to craft. To do that, you need a rock and coal. I know this sounds stupidly simple and straightforward, but it’s important to be aware of the distinction between a rock and a stone inValheim.
As you explore the open world inValheim, you’ll undoubtedly come across plenty of stones, which can then be used to craft other important things, like tools and weapons. However, what you want is a rock, and these are a lot harder to find than stones.
What you want to do is look for steep hills near a river. Climb up the hills and look out for rocks. They should be just slightly bigger than stones, so they shouldn’t be too difficult to identify, but you may also hover your cursor over them to confirm. Your best bet is to look in the Black Forest biome, though there are also plenty of hills and rivers in the Meadows.
