Whether you’re just starting out inDisney Dreamlight Valley, or you’ve been playing for a long time, one resource that you’re always going to want stocked up is Iron Ingots. It’s used in a lot of crafting recipes, and a lot of quests, so you should try to avoid being caught with less than a dragon’s hoard of the material.
Iron Ingots aren’t a base level material, so you’ll need to gather what you need and then craft them. This does mean you’re likely to spend quite a lot of time mining in various locations, but it can be made easier by dragging along a villager who you’ve given the Mining role to. If they’re a high level, you’ll be able to get a double of the last item to drop from each mining node, making things go much quicker.

How to make Iron Ingots in Disney Dreamlight Valley
It is possible for Iron Ingots to show up for sale atKristoff’s Stallif you’re lucky, although this is far from guaranteed as the resource is part of his rotating stock. However, it’s always worth checking and if you do see them for sale, you can buy a maximum of 10 per day at a cost of 150 Star Coins each.
Outside of that, you’re out of luck if you want to do this the easy way. You do, however, have a couple of other options to get Iron Ingots. Firstly, you can gather the base materials and craft them yourself, which is time consuming but worth it in the end. Secondly, you can complete Remy’s Daily “Remy’s Special Deliveries” quests, which each reward a varying number ofWrought Ironthat can be turned into basic Iron Ingots.

If you want to craft Iron Ingots from basic ingredients, you’ll need to collect five Iron Ore and one Coal Ore per Ingot.
Iron Ore
Iron Ore is a resource that is obtained from mining nodes in the following biomes of the Valley:
It’s not the most common drop from each mining node, but it’s not the rarest either. You can easily gather around 100 Iron Ore within an hour or so if you take someone with the mining role with you and create a good route, leaving the five minutes that’s required between visits to each of the nodes, allowing them to regenerate.

Coal Ore
Coal Ore is a much more common drop from mining nodes in every biome of the Valley. However, if you want to expedite this process and don’t mind spending some Star Coins, you can easily stockpile a huge number of Coal Ore by purchasing it from Kristoff’s Stall for 5 Star Coins a piece.
Unlike some other items, Coal Ore is guaranteed to be for sale at Kristoff’s Stall each day and thanks to its importance in cooking (you need one Coal Ore per meal you want to make), there is no daily limit to how much of the resource you can purchase.

Coal Ore can also be obtained by clearing up Night Thorns in the Valley and Splinters of Fate on Eternity Isle, if you have theRift in TimeDLC.
Once you’ve got both resources, simply head to the nearest crafting station and find Iron Ingots under the Refined Materials tab, then use 5 Iron Ore and 1 Coal Ore to make each Iron Ingot.

How to use Iron Ingots in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There is avery longlist of optional items that can be crafted using Iron Ingots, most of which are used to decorate the valley and can be explored at leisure as you unlock the recipes themselves. However, Iron Ingots are also used in a large number of quests that are necessary for game progression, so let’s focus on those.
Here are all the quests that call for Iron Ingots, and how the Ingots are used:
