It’s a pre-order DLC item
AAA games have been linking myriad skins and outfits to pre-order DLC for years now, but it feels like big publishers are on a rampage with them in 2023. In addition to games like theResident Evil 4remake adding a handful of skins as DLC, there’s alsoDead Island 2, Hogwarts Legacy, andStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. Here’s where the Obi-Wan outfit plays into all of this.
The Hermit/Obi-Wan robes are part of the Jedi Survival pack
As announced by EA earlier this year, the “Jedi Survival Cosmetic Pack” is exclusive to pre-orders forStar Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Here’s what it entails:
EA publicly acknowledges that the first two are “inspired” or “reminiscent of” Obi-Wan Kenobi’s original trilogy design, while the blaster is “worth of an outlaw from Coruscant to the Outer Rim.”
Once you have it loaded up, all you need to do is pause the game, go to “customize,” and equip Cal with the hermit ensemble (which consists of multiple parts). If you want to equip the Hermit Lightsaber set, you’ll need to visit a workbench (which is located on the Mantis, or next to many meditation fast travel points).
Will the Hermit Outfit ever come out as a paid DLC?
AAA studios typically allow some form of a grace period for pre-order exclusive DLC to arrive as a separate premium pack that you can buy on any given marketplace. Respawn themselves also have been known to updateJedi: Fallen Orderwith skins, similar to how Sony handles theSpider-Mangames.
It could take six months to a year, but in all likelihood, it could arrive eventually.
