Metal Gear fans went into overdrive during Wednesday’s PlayStation showcase, when it was revealed that not only was theMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eaterremakea very real thing, but also that they’d be receiving a new opportunity to buy the oldMetal Geargames for the 200th time via the all-new, all-old,Master Collection.
While theMetal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1announcement includedMetal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and the originalMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, some mystery titles were also teased. However, thanks to a new listing onPlayStation Store itself, we now know that these titles are Hideo Kojima’s original MSX classicsMetal GearandMetal Gear II: Solid Snake.

The set promises “classic versions” of all included titles, complete with additions such as theMGS: VR Missions/Special Missions, and the HD editions ofMGS 2andMGS 3. The listing also notes that some small edits will, unfortunately, be made or copyrighted content. This likely refers to some of the stock footage used in cutscenes throughout theMetal Gear Solidseries. “Regional versions” of each game will also be available as alternate downloads — suggesting the addition of localized voice tracks and text.
