At this point the Xbox One’s backward compatibility feature has defied expectations. Several games that boast a “remaster” on current generation systems already have Xbox One enhanced compatible ports, leading me to instantly downloading some old favorites in my library instead of re-buying them.
That trend continues this week, as Microsoft just approvedTom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD EditionandAxel & Pixelon the Xbox One. If you haven’t playedPeace Walkeryet now is a good time to do so, especially coming off of the disappointing and mind-bendingly non-canonSurvive.
There is a catch though — you’re able to’t buyAxel & Pixelif you don’t already own the game on Xbox 360 — likely due to a 2K Play licensing issue. The others are good though, and follow up the recent releases ofHitman: Blood MoneyandLEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.
