Apparently there is a basis forMortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The trailer above possesses the first story elements ever to be mentioned about the game, and we wonder why Midway waited so long.
The heroes and villains from both universes are beginning to disappear. According to Green Latern (and corroborated by the likes of Batman) theMK and DCworlds are merging. This merge is causing the contamination of the entire galaxy. As a result, both sides must team up with their villains and fight the opposing universe.
While I’m not wholly opposed to Joker playing ball with Batman, I can’t help but wonder how long it took to draw this up. I honestly hope Midway spent the majority of their time fine-tuning the mechanics instead of attempting to make Wonder Woman appear as vapid as possible.
That said, I’m pretty happy that there are cut-scenes. Let’s hope Johnny Cage’s burnt, autographed picture makes a comeback. How are you guys feeling about the trailer?
