That’s the current plan, anyway
Speaking toPenny Arcade Report, game designer Emile Pedneault stressed that the goal for the Wii U-exclusiveDeus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cutwas for it to not be considered a port. “We really wanted to take this opportunity working on the game again to just change what was ehh, so-so with the game and bring some new features to the game,” he explained.
“Right now, this is the best-lookingDeus Ex.”Going a step further, he put forth that “It’s even sharper than the PC version.”After talking up some of the additions to this version such as a digital strategy guide, GamePad-specific gameplay, and revamped boss encounters, he confirmed that the current plan is for this new content to remain exclusive to theDirector’s Cut.

It sounds like the pieces are in place for this to be a solid continuation ofHuman Revolution. I’m in no hurry to play the game again, but next time I get such an urge, this release will undoubtedly be the way to go. The eight hours of developer commentary alone seems worth it to me.
