Neymar is well-known for being a bigCounter-Strikefan, but the Brazillian soccer star proved he really is one of us, posting a video on his Instagram account where he clearly misses an AWP shot on Inferno, all while saying: “CSis broken.”

In the video, the former PSG player is bottom mid, aiming up toward enemies who are peeking at top mid. Neymar scopes in with his AWP, never once gets his crosshair on his opponent, fires, and predictably misses. Like all of us, however, this wasn’t Neymar’s fault—it was Valves.

“CSis broken, look at this. There’s no way,” he complained in the video. To drive home his message, he captioned the video with “CS2help me,” tagging theCounter-StrikeInstagram account in the hopes that they would see it.

We’ve all done it, to be fair—I certainly know I have. In fact, I’ve never lost a fair gunfight in my life. It’s always lag, or the game’s broken, or my personal favorite: “They got a weird timing on me,” which accounts for about 50% of my deaths. You might think that this article is about ragging on Neymar, but it’s not. It’s about showing that Neymar is one of us, and we’re all wrong.

Watching him miss a shot and immediately blame the devs is a learning experience we should all note. It’s time to stop blaming the game for our errors, accept that we make donkey plays on the regular, and attempt to improve them.

That’s certainly my plan the next time I jump ontoCS2. Whether I actually manage to do it remains to be seen. Still, the next time I die inCounter-Strike, I’m going to think: “What would Neymar do?” and try to do the opposite.
