Happy new year! Go rest

2021 has been a tiring year. Maybe 2022 will be better? Ha! I don’t want to jinx it. In any case, this week is hosting a unique set of circumstances in that there’s only three games on offer. Well, threeSKUs. Technically five games! The first isDeathsmiles I・II, which isn’t justDeathsmiles 1+2, but actuallyDeathsmiles(Arcade / Normal / Ver 1.1),Deathsmiles Mega Black Label(Arcade / Normal Ver 1.1), andDeathsmiles IIX Merry Christmas in Hell(Arcade/ IIX / Arrange).

It’s clearly the marquee game for shmup fans and non-shmup fans alike, and Nintendo isn’t even highlighting anything this week. Actually, the highlight is “you’re able to earndouble gold pointsuntil January 5.”

Nintendo Download: Only three games!

And you know what, that’s good! The eShop could use more breaks like this, or at the very least, a reprieve from the 30-to-40-game deluge on a near-weekly basis. It’s gotten a little out of hand over the years, as the eShop hasn’t really evolved to accommodate hundreds and hundreds of games in such a short span.

Here are all three whopping offerings this week!

If you missed last week’s edition, here it is. For those who are interested, sales are going onfor all platforms.
