It’s another retro-tastic celebration
After a jam packed retro offering last week, Nintendo is at it again with another collection of classics. On the Wii U you’ll be able to nabThe Legend of the Mystical Ninja, which is my personal favoriteGoemongame, and one of my favorite SNES titles of all time.Donkey Kong,Donkey Kong Jr. andDonkey Kong 3are also on sale for $3.49 until December 12th.
The 3DS is a little more eventful, with3D Sonic the Hedgehog,3D Altered Beast(!), andBrilliant Hamsters. On the Virtual Console sideDonkey Kong 3hits the portable platform, andCloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2hits the retail download section. There’s also a similarDonkey Kongsale, including the addition ofGame and Watch: Donkey Kong Jr. Finally,Hooked on Bass Fishinghits DSiWare.

If you missed last week’s installment, here it is.
As for what I’m getting — it’s most definitelyGoemontime. Not only isThe Legend of the Mystical Ninjais a surprisingly open-ended action-RPG, but it also happens to be one of the most fun two player co-op games ever. If you have a local friend willing to give it a try, take the plunge. It was previously released for the Wii’s Virtual Console, so if you own it, you can upgrade for $1.50.
