I would use this in a heartbeat There’s nothing better than a hand-drawn note for an RPG. I’ve talked about this a lot, but back before the days of walkthroughs, you basically had to take notes if you wanted to get through some of the more complex offerings of old. Scrawling down a dungeon layout and giving it to a friend could help them clear a JRPG in a pinch, and although I had a penchant for memorization, it always helps to refer to those trusty “back of the instruction manual” note sections (RIP)....

According to a report by Germannews outlet GamesMarkt, (and spotted by VGC), Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that it will not be showing up in either a digital or physical capacity for the show, which will be the first in-person Gamescom event since 2019, before the continuing COVID-19 brought the curtain down on the whole industry....

Starting today, sharing games between five PlayStation systems has been axed. Aspreviously announced, games can now be played on two consoles, not the four that were previously allowed. PS3 and PSP systems can be activated and deactivated online, which means you’re able to replace older systems with new ones, but you won’t be able to have five friends bumming games off the same account anymore. Sony says this is ultimately helpful for customers, while many customers themselves see this as no better than DRM....

A new trailer forHitman: Absolutionhas appeared, and everybody’s talking about it. Some folk are hyped, some have felt their excitement plummet, and others are a little disturbed by a video that puts women in sexy rubber nun outfits before punching them in the stomach and face. The trailer is called, “Attack of the Saints,” a title that refers to the assassins sent after Agent 47 in their rather unconvincing Catholic disguises....

Being born late into the ‘80s, the Atari 2600 was an intriguing mystery to me. By the time the N64 hit, the NES felt old to me, so the idea of a console even older than that was exciting. Harrison Krix made the new Destructoid helmet, and as you can see, it is glorious. I wore the helmet a few times while in Miami and couldn’t believe how heavier it is. It is also very echoy.
