Sony has proclaimed thatPSone Classic supportwill finally be unlocked for PlayStation Vita this summer with firmware update 1.8. No firm date has been provided, but considering the fact that Sony is in love with frequent firmware updates and wants to marry them, it probably won’t be too long. The company’s been pretty vague on the support. For instance, it’s not confirmed if the full library will be supported and, if not, what games will be available (thoughan IGN previewdoes say all of them are coming)....

While the listing does feature box art, the art appears to have been cropped from an image onthis site for creating fake custom box artfor games. For all we know the date listed is just as fake as the box art selection, but withUncharted 4being pushed back to 2016 a remastered collection in late September would likely give players enough time to get up to speed before the new game is released....

Steam Early Access version planned for summer 2020 It’s a pleasant surprise to hear thatHardspace: Shipbreakeris coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after its Steam Early Access run starts this summer. In the sci-fi sim game, you play as a salvager who’s working to pay off a debt by strategically slicing off valuable parts from spaceships with a laser cutter. It’s such a cool concept for a game. I haven’t seen anything quite like it before on this scale....

This will be interesting to watch unfold. We had heard from a source at GameStop that the company will be the exclusive retailer for Steam gift cards, which are reportedly going to show up as early as next week. According to Kotaku, May 15 is the date; the site has also received a photo of a $50 voucher. I can only imagine what the conversations between GameStop and Valve were like in reaching an agreement, assuming all of this stuff isn’t an elaborate hoax....

Now at Hitman developer IO Interactive The Divsiondirector Ryan Barnard has left Ubisoft to take a post at IO Interactive, the Copenhagen-based Square Enix subsidiary behind titles likeHitmanandKane & Lynch. According to Square Enix (viaMCV), Barnard is now the studio’s gameplay director, a newly-created role that entails heading up three of IO’s core teams: gameplay, online, and world. “Ryan’s contributions to game design over the years show he’s the ideal person to spearhead the coming efforts,” Square Enix told MCV....
