Today, Niantic says it’s assembling an internal, cross-functional team to address concerns. Intoday’s blog, Niantic discussed the recent reversion back to pre-pandemic interaction distances in the U.S. and New Zealand. The company announced in June that it would berolling back some of the changesmade toPokemon Go, originally meant to address the COVID-19 pandemic, in areas where the pandemic’s effect was perceived to be lessening....

A report says at least 11 companies have the tools, but Nintendo says it’s untrue A new report fromBloombergclaims that several game companies are in possession of a 4K development kit for the Nintendo Switch. But in a public-facing comment, Nintendo is denying the report, saying it has no plans for a new model aside from the OLED. According to the report, employees at 11 game companies said their teams had a 4K development kit for the Switch....

As reported by Vice Nintendo has been having a real problem with Switch Joy-Con drift. In case you’ve been living under a rock (or filter out all news regarding the Switch), the issue involves the default Switch remotes “drifting,” or, making it seem like the Joy-Con are performing inputs when they’re not. Think of deadzoning analog sticks in past controllers: it’s like that, but for first-party hardware (two years in) and according to many reports, it’s widespread....
