First monitors debut at CES this week Monitor makers will be showing off their new models that support Nvidia’s new G-SYNC technology here at CES this week. This tech synchronizes the monitor refresh rate with the GPU’s rendering to make problems like tearing and stuttering go away. It is also supposed to minimize lag and make gameplay smoother. At their press conference this evening they said that makers like ASUS, BenQ, ViewSonic, AOC and Philips are a ready to show off their latest at the show, so we’ll be checking those out....

Holy crap. Akira Yamaoka, the musical genius behindSilent Hill‘s unique and ambient soundtrack, is leaving Konami after sixteen years of service. It’s not known what Yamaoka intends to do next, with word that he has been vacationing in the US and Europe. A hefty hardware haul Sony’s new generation of PlayStation VR is due to roll out in 2023. And from the sounds of a new report, the PS VR2 will be moving quite a few units out. According toBloomberg, Sony plans to make 2 million units of the PS VR2 headset by March 2023.
