GAMES! 2017 may be over, but it won’t be forgotten. While 2016 had a collection of some decent enough titles, everyone brought out their A game this year. While I’m still not quite sure whether these games are as important as years past, in the here and now, 2017 was a total blast. So for once in a long time, I’m actually able to make a top 10 list! Hooray! The one caveat I have to mention is that I’ll only be including games that originally released in 2017....

Xbox One manages to move 91 consoles, too! The PlayStation 3 (three) is outselling the Xbox One (uh, 1?) by 16 times in Japan last week (March 14 through 20). The PS3 sold 18 times as much as the Xbone the prior week.Still funny! Also, the Vita remains steady as heck in Japan. But we’re here to talk Media Create software sales, by way ofGematsu. And, check it. Sure, last week’s king,The Division, got bumped to the third spot by two new, Japanese releases,Pokken Tournament(the Pokemon fighting game) andDigimon World: Next Order, which moved about 69,000 and 64,000 units respectively....

Either way, it looks like that particular butt shot is gone for now, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see it return as optional DLC at some point....

The mini console is ‘delayed until further notice’ The TurboGrafx-16 Mini console will miss its March 19 release date due to ongoing issues with the coronavirus, and Konami doesn’t have a replacement release window in mind. It’s delayed indefinitely. “Regarding the PC Engine Core Grafx mini console and its peripheral accessories, the manufacturing and shipping facilities in China have encountered an unavoidable suspension due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak,” Konami saidin a statementposted to the console’s official website....

It’s a shame this wasn’t localized Valkyria Chronicleswas one of the best tactical games I had played in a long time when I picked it up at release. So when a sequel was announced (and subsequently localized), I was floored. Sadly, the third game in the serieswasn’t so lucky, and hasn’t budged out of Japan.
