Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance extended trailer

Here’s an extended trailer forMetal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The main points of interest are a slightly lengthened Metal Gear RAY fight and a bit at the end involving a cardboard box. The extensions are of the “blink and you’ll miss them” variety, but crazed fans can pour over every little detail. I’m still remaining cautiously optimistic about the game. Platinum is a little more hit-and-miss to me than it is to some people, but when the studio’s good, it’s damn good....

Move over amiibo, Battleborn figures now hold the title of derpiest faces

How? How did someone think this was okay? We have a new reigning king of derp-face video game paraphernalia as theBattlebornpre-order figurines have usurped thedisfigured faces seen on early amiibo. Some game stores had pre-order-exclusive figures of various characters fromBattlebornthat look decent, so long as you don’t look at their faces. I’ve known many artists and each one has an area of the body they aren’t the best at drawing; this artist clearly sucks at faces (not that I’d do any better)....

Nintendo’s Damon Baker on why some indies get accepted on the Switch and some don’t

Not a Hero’s 2D cover-based shooting killed me about a dozen times

Which means I wanted to play it about a dozen times Devolver Digital had a great showing at PAX East this year. ThoughHotline Miami 2might have had the most buzz going in, not long into the show people were shouting aboutNot a Hero. Developed by Roll7 (ofOlliOllifame), it could just be the next pixel shooter juggernaut. Though its visuals are beautifully retro (complete with the neon pink and teal color palette that is in vogue right now — though each of the game’s five districts will have a different look), its gameplay takes cues from more modern shooters....

Skyrim NPCs can now fart, our lives are complete

To paraphrase George Orwell: “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a community of gamers modifyingSkyrim… forever.” Bethesda’s epic RPG has beenmodded to death, but none hit quite the same as this one that allows NPCs to break wind. Nexus Mods userJobiWanUK(thanks,PC Gamer—no really… thank you) brings flatulence to the fantasy world of Tamriel. Not only does this mod give a new voice to the denizens ofSkyrim(or at least their asses), it also implements realistic reactions for that added dose of fart-y immersion....
