Keiji Inafune took to the stage during Sony’s press conference ahead of Tokyo Game Show to talk about progress on the upcoming PS Vita title,Soul Sacrifice. Showing the above trailer, Inafune-san briefly talked up the game’s four-person multiplayer and cross play features before dropping the bad news: It won’t see release until Spring of 2013. I was very eager to see how this would run on Sony’s current-gen system, considering it ran pretty poorly on PS3. Even if there are some changes to content, one can’t deny that this PS4 port is a massive improvement. Sadly, there are only seconds of actual gameplay, but the boosted resolution and faster framerate really bring out the carnage thatYakuza 5has....

Following rumblings of layoffs at PopCap Games earlier today, co-founder John Vechey has commented on the company’s “reorganization”in a blog post. Around 50 people have lost their jobs in North America, and Vechey says “we’re talking to our Dublin team about the future of that office and whether we can find a path to improve our profitability in Europe without having to close the operation.” Continuing, he explains that “In the past year, we’ve seen a dramatic change in the way people play and pay for games....
