Too good to be true? This supposed image of the Prima strategy guide forSplatoonshows some curious weapons including, oh my god, NES Zappers. The names even reflect the light guns’ release years! Is this stuff real? One of the weapons, theInkbrush, is definitely legitimate. It was demonstrated during a Nintendo Direct and will make it into the game via download. Whether or not these other guns will have the same fate remains to be seen....

The Wii U’s launch window is now a bit shorter with the latest word from Nintendo. According to Inside Games,Nintendo stated that the Wii U is slated to go on sale between next June and the end of 2012. That’s just a bit shorter than the original window, which was originally given to be between April and December. Technically that’s farther away. Bummer. We’re withKotakuin that we’re sure a launch date will be given at E3 2012....

Wii U’s (seemingly) final game! Developer Rain Games has announced thatWorld to the West(a title Ipreviewedjust last week) will be releasing on May 5 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U for $19.99. With that news comes a new trailer and some information on different language options (the game will be available inEnglish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, Chinese, Dutch, ArabandPolish). I did enjoy my time with the preview and didn’t have too much in the way of complaints....

But that isn’t the case with theLeague of Explorersexpansion forHearthstone— it’ll launch next week on November 12. It’s set to open up by way of four wings, which will be priced at $19.99 in total, or $6.99 (700 gold) for each wing. The setup looks equal parts awesome and wacky, as four adventurers, including a Murloc, seek fame and fortune in four extreme locations....

During the recent Capcom Next showcase, Capcom took some time to highlight the upcoming mobile port ofResident Evil 7. This meant bringing in that game’s director, Koshi Nakanishi, to offer some insight on the development of the original release. However, Nakanishi had one extra surprise to share with fans; he’s back to direct the nextResident Evilgame, presumablyResident Evil 9.
