Let your Ego go After afew teasesover the last week, the group of formerShin Megami Tenseistaff working on the mysteriousMonarkhave revealed their new RPG. And thankfully, it’s confirmed to be coming over to North America. NIS America announced this morning that it will be publishingMonarkin early 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. This news comes alongside an English version of the trailer, which of course, has got some demons in it....

Firing Squad is reporting that three downloadableLumines Live!content packs will be available on the marketplace next week. One pack will be a single skin/song, “Heavenly Star,” which made waves as being a standout song inLumines IIon the PSP (the song was also released on iTunes back in December). The single skin download will be free (gasp) from January 24th until February 21st. The other two packs will be the much ballyhooed “VS” and “Mission/Puzzle” packs....

An episodic adventure comes to the Vita Lucid Games has announced a new game for the PlayStation Vita, titledJacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery. Starring the titular hero, it tells the sale of a young introverted boy at a camp called Camp Eagle Feather. After meeting Bigfoot, he’ll embark upon a number of adventures — oh, and the game will apparently use the Unreal Engine 3. It’ll be episodic in nature, and apparently will feature puzzles....

Also,XEL Spidersaursis arguably the biggest release hitting the Switch today, as WayForward goes back to its roots yet again with another cartoonishly-presented run and gun platformer. To save the day, you’ll bring two characters through six levels to take out literal dinosaur-spider hybrids created in a lab, with old-school sensibilities and boss battles. As is customary with WayForward,Spidersaurswill have an animated intro (this one is styled after Saturday morning cartoons), as well as co-op play....

Nintendo’s still dealing with thatol’ price fixing scandalfrom some time back, but now it looks like they’re on the up and up, ranking high on the list of most reputable companies. Reputation Institute’s Global Reputation Pulse 2009 survey puts Nintendo at number 6 on the list, beating out gaming companies Sony, at number 126, and Microsoft (they ranked? kidding!) at a respectable number 30. This is the fourth annual survey of leading companies, ranking them on “admiration, trust, good feelings and overall esteem,” saysGamasutra....

Bulkypix has announced a new game for iOS devices, scheduled to launch on July 5. It’s calledHasta La Muerte, and it’s a billing itself as a unique “survival-platformer” with art game elements. As an emissary of death, players will be required to accompany souls and rescue them from damnation while avoiding the wrath of those already lost. Taking a few cues fromPac-Man, the “chase-and-be-chased” gameplay is aided by Soulpets, special souls that can be used to enhance the player’s powers....

Princess Peach: Showtime!is slated to hit shelves on Aug 05, 2025, and as the release date crawls nearer, we’re seeing increased marketing for the game. Twitter user @Nintendeal noted that Nintendo has surreptitiously swapped out the box art.This change can be seen on the eStore.
