‘Dibs on the killer’ – everyone An asymmetrical multiplayer game inspired by horror movies in which several players are the survivors trying to escape and one person is the seemingly unstoppable, omniscient killer. Refunds being offered Back in February, we told you the Wii U port of the beautifully epicHyper Light Drifterwas in limbo due to issues with the game engine running natively on the console. There was hope the port would still come out, albeit at a later date than the other versions. Unfortunately, those hopes have been dashed. Heart Machine’s Alex Preston posted a video for Kickstarter backers explaining the Wii U and the Vita versions have both been canceled....

Former Monolith CEO Jace Hall has declared his intent to remakeBlood, the legendarily macabre shooter starring an undead sociopath. Another returning PSP character Square Enix has announced the newest addition toDissidia Final Fantasy‘s arcade edition in Japan — Kain Highwind — who will be added by way of an update. The producer of the original game actually wanted Kain to be featured in the original on PSP, but didn’t get to actually follow through until the sequel. So far out of the post-game updates of Ramza, Garland, Kefka, and Kain, only the former is brand new to the series....

It’s still a PC exclusive after nearly three years of beta/release time Magic: Arenais still trucking along at a brisk pace, having moved right into the Theros: Beyond Death set, and scheduled to host Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths in April with Zendikar Rising coming in September. But at some point this year, Arena will be free of the shackles of its PC-exclusive limitations and will spread its wings on mobile....

Wasteland 3 still due next year Looking back inXile has a history of buddying up with Microsoft, so when recent rumors suggested that they were working out a deal to become acquired by them, it made sense. Back in 2013 its CEO Brian Fargo talked up Microsoft’s approach to indie games and now they’re indie no more. For $29.99, you too can collect all the Monster Girls and level them up to your heart’s content. Yes, with copious amounts of screen-rubbing on your Vita, too. what’s not to love? This card-battling strategy game looks like a ton of fun, even if the more “adult” cards have been cut from the North American release....

The cycle continues Do I need to buyPac-Man,Ms. Pac-Man,Galaga, orDig Dugyet again? No, not really. But the chance to do so is about to present itself through new ports for PlayStation 4, Steam, and Xbox One, and I can’t be held accountable for my late-night, impulse-buying ways. Bandai Namco is individually releasing those four arcade titles on July 26, 2025. They’ll support leaderboards, Trophies/Achievements, and 1080p (with cabinet-style art wraparounds). There’s also theArcade Game Series 3-in-1 PackwithPac-Man,Galaga, andDig Dugcoming the same day at a discount....

But hey, the free Steam weekend is okay This weekend,Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ multiplayer will be free to playon Steamand the game is half price ($29.99) to own. There’s also double XP being offered, from February 21 at 10:00am to Feb. 24 at 10:00am. These are all things I was somewhat happy to talk about. Then I got wind of this week’s customization DLC forGhosts, shown in the trailer above, and I’m rather put off....
