They gotta have kart racing I’m somewhat concerned about the Super Nintendo World and Universal theme park partnership, if only because they’re splitting their efforts between Japan, Orlando, and Hollywood (so far they’ve hinted that not every location will get the same attractions) — but as someone who dreamed of going to a video game park as a kid, I’m interested in seeing what they come up with. Now we have some semblance of an idea beyond “themed worlds,” as a trademark filed by Nintendo sheds some light on the sort of concepts they want to bring to Universal....

Coming to PAX this week NEXON has announced its latest game,Extraction. Developed by Splash Damage (Brink), this online first-person shooter will be coming to North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. So far we know thatExtractionis a fast-paced FPS with an emphasis on team-oriented tactical gameplay. It takes place in London following a radiological attack. Mercenaries have come together to piece together the clues that could explain the attack. This is a free-to-play PC title, of course....

A decidedly strange selection of esports The International Olympics Committee has unveiled a range of games being featured in the Olympics Esports Series, at its official Olympic Esports Week, this year in June. Its selections are, frankly, pretty odd. The IOC has occasionally flirted with the idea of including virtual events in its traditionally physical environment. In the past, it’s hosted the Olympic Virtual Series, with its2021 eventtaking place ahead of the previously-postponedTokyo Olympics....

Along with a new Predator class, the Valkyrie You might not hear much aboutPredator: Hunting Groundsthese days, but it’s still hanging in there, at least from an ongoing support standpoint. The latest update for the multiplayer PC and PS4 game is out today with a Viking-inspired Valkyrie Predator (who wields a Norse Hammer) and custom matches. If you’re looking to group up with friends and try out a range of gameplay modifiers, you’ll want to pop into a private custom match – especially as it becomes harder to match with random players....

ThePS3 Jailbreak fiascojust keeps getting crazier. The latest development is the launch of a new app (obviously not getting linked to here) that can unlock every Trophy in a given PlayStation 3 game automatically, with random timestamps for added believability. It’s not yet clear if the app can sync Trophies to the PlayStation Network. If it does, this could have serious implications for the reward system, and ostensibly make a mess of the entire thing....

Better resolution and framerate options for PC Resident Evil: Revelationsis making the jump from handheld to all the major consoles and PC this May.
