32% on PC, 30% on 3DS Recently at an event called Gaming Insiders, Nathan Vella of Capybara Games shared some indie sales figures with us, in an effort to shine a light on the indie industry. Apparently,Shovel Knightsold best on PC, with 32% of the sales from the Steam platform. Additionally, 30% of the total sales came from 3DS, with 20% on Wii U. 14% of the audience was on PSN, and 4% on Xbox One....

It has been somewhat discouraging to watch how Sony has handled the availability of classic PSOne games on the PlayStation Network. It’s great that you can download these reasonably priced games on your PS3 and also play them on your PSP, but it doesn’t really matter when they’re games likeJet Moto. Sorry,Jet Motofans. The only ones I’ve felt were worth downloading so far wereCastlevania: Symphony of the NightandWild Arms. Square Enix has us covered now....
Casualties aplenty The first wave of freeStar Wars BattlefrontDLC debuts tomorrow for players who pre-ordered the game, while everyone else can get it a week later on December 8. As we’ve heard a few times now, theBattle of Jakkuis made up of two new maps and a 20 vs. 20 mode, Turning Point, that has Rebel forces capturing control points to push back the Empire. That’s the idea, anyway! In practice, I suspect it will look like this trailer: lots of quick death by explosion....
‘Adds a pretty big variety of new things’ Stardew Valleycame out in 2016, developed by one person, and is still churning out big new content updates. Insane! Although Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone is working on a side project he just can’t stay away from his first love, and recently posted a new blog update about the upcoming 1.4 update: which, of course, will be free. After musing that 1.3 is now live on PS4 and Xbox One, Barone sets the expectation that as usual, the PC platform will be getting updates first due to the “ease and speed” of hotfix patches, avoiding the certification process....

It’s possible again Final Fantasy XIVis one of the best MMOs right now, and you can play it on PC, PS3, and PS4, all on the same servers. Dope right? Well, the Xbox One is still out of the equation, but that ever-changing situation has once again opened itself up for Square Enix and theXIVteam. Update hopes to cure online woes Although Activision’s latest money-makerCall of Duty: Black Ops 4had a successful launch, some unfortunate server issues have reared there head in the weeks following release day. What with new battle royale centrepiece Blackout being added to the usual Multiplayer and Zombies modes, it seems a little more juice than usual is required to keep everything smooth. As such, Treyarch has released a new patch, which hopes to combat problems with lag, kill-trading and randomly-spawning enemies....

As the release ofStar Wars: The Old Republicgets closer and closer, I find myself becoming more and more excited. Two weeks ago we saw a video featuring the Jedi Consular, the Galactic Republic’s heavy Force user, and this week we get to see the Sith Empire’s counterpart. In anew video on the website, we can see the Sith Inquisitor’s advanced classes in action. The double-bladed lightsaber belongs to the Sith Assassin who can choose to be sneaky and cloak or focus more on Force buffs and debuffs....

If the folks over at CD Projekt Red can pull off this andCyberpunk2077, they will seriously be a contender for the best development team. There are a lot of changes inThe Witcher 3that we can expect. Open world, horses, and boats, oh my! So many potentially great ideas for an already great universe. Not every idea from the past games should be implemented in the finale, though....
