Microsoft has kept us in the loop as to the next couple weeks’ worth of additions to Xbox Game Pass, and the list includes 2017’s reinvention ofResident Evil. On September 3,Resident Evil 7joins the Xbox Game Pass lineup.

We gaveResident Evil 7a perfect 10when it launched, praising the move to first-person and the always-on-your-toes pacing. The majority of the game feels onlyResident Evilin spirit, and it’s mostly divorced from all of the series’ lore baggage. It’s very possible to go intoResident Evil 7as your first mainlineResident Evilgame and you won’t feel as though you’re missing out. It’s just an excellent horror game.
