Today’s stream promises a new trailer and gameplay for Village along with ‘much more Resident Evil news’

The first Resident Evil Showcasewent over pretty well, and so long as we get the next demo soon — one that’s indicative of the full game and not tied to a single platform — today’s stream should be a similar story. The April showcase is airing soon, so get comfy. The show starts at3:00 p.m. Pacific.

Officially, we can expect “a new trailer and gameplay forResident Evil Village, and much moreResident Evilnews.” We don’t know how long this showcase will be, but the last one was around 17 minutes.

The more I see ofVillage, the more I feel like I’m looking at aResident Evil 4successor through a modern Capcom lens. My recent revisit ofRE4on PS4 has only heightened my interest in this game and these vibes. I had a blast re-learning the routes for every character and stage in Mercenaries mode, and after messing around with the Handcannon, I’m ready to get to work with one last Professional run send-off.

I’m trying to keep my expectations in check for the rest of this year (reminder: it’s the 25th anniversary ofResident Evil), but it’s tough. I hope Capcom is just waiting forVillageto launch before it goes all-out.
