Good luck, kid
Western fans of theRiver City/Kunio-kunseries should perhaps get themselves in shape for another downtown rumble, as it appears that the Japanese releaseKunio-kun: The World Classics Collectionmight be preparing for a western localisation in the near future.
As spotted by Gematsu, a recent entry on PlayStation database hunting websiteGameStat, (the same site that outed theFinal Fantasy VII Remakedemo), listed an upcoming release titledDouble Dragon & Kunio-kun Retro Brawler Bundle. This listing includes an image which features a compendium of classicKunio-kunartwork. All in, theThe World Classics Collectioncontained 15Kunio-kuntitles and threeDouble Dragongames. Exciting stuff.

Of course, there has been no official confirmation of this release fromKunio-kunpublisher Arc System Works, but given the success of WayForward’sRiver City Girls– which introduced many new fans to theRiver Cityfranchise – 2020 would be an ideal time to bring this collection of face-bashing classics to western shores. We will, as always, keep you informed.
