2ndEncorewas originally released for PS4 last year and introduced all of the DLC characters, a fully-voiced story mode, challenges, trials, and a survival mode.
While Lab Zero confirmed inanother tweetthat2ndEncoreplayers will be able to play withEncoreplayers and vice-versa, some players who already own the DLC characters are upset that they may not be getting a discount and will be rebuying content they already own.

I’m a huge fan ofSkullgirls, but considering the characters were crowdfunded and the added content is seen as being pretty standard for bigger fighting games, I think the players kind of have a point.
I’m sure some people will make comparisons between2ndEncoreandStreet Fighter V’swoeful lack of content. It’s worth keeping in mind thatSkullgirlsis not, and never has been, a full-price game developed by a major publisher. They’re a bit harder to compare.

Skullgirls 2ndEncorewill be on PC from April 13, and cost $10 for the first week. After that, the price will rise to $15.
