Actually, it’s notquiteasCastlevaniaasCastlevania, but that was a snappy headline and GameLoft’s recently released DSiWare game is pretty damn shameless in the rip-off department. Still, that’s GameLoft for you — I don’t think theyhaveany original ideas, but there are few companies better at giving us familiar gaming experiences on unfamiliar gaming platforms.
Soul of Darknessis available on DSiWare and, as you can see from the video, it doesn’t even attempt to hide itsCastlevaniainfluences. Despite bordering on plagiarism, it does look cool and I might finally spend my free DSiWare points on it. Those things will have to get spent eventually, and I do love me some Gameloft.
