GSC Game World just released the first update forStalker 2in 2025, bringing some needed fixes to the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobylcame out in a rather rough state back in November of 2024, but the developers at GSC Game World quickly rose up to the challenge by dishing out massive updates that fixed many of the game’s most pressing issues. Still, many problems have persisted in the game since the last update that came out over a month ago. The good news is Patch 1.1.4 is finally out, so let’s look at what’s good and new.
Stalker 2 Patch 1.1.4 fixes:
The team also informs they’re working on the system error message that erroneously informs players about a missing DLL files after a crash if you’re playing on the game’s Microsoft Store version. The developers also say that there are no known issues with the DLL files, so that’s just a message that shouldn’t be popping up. This means that you don’t need to worry about anything on your end if you get the message.
They also mention a “fight” with the Shader Compilation that proved to be one of the hardest challenges they had in recent days. The issue is seemingly fixed, but the team encourages players to report any particular shader compilation issues that might remain in their game.
