Havingrecently turned 20, Steam continues to be the cornerstone of PC gaming. As well as being one – if notthe– first video game digital storefront, the platform is notorious for its sales and events. Next year’s plans are no different.

There are some pretty interesting-sounding ones coming up as well. For example, at the start of 2024, there’s theSteam Capitalism and Economy Fest, which “focuses on games that are about cold hard cash.” This is followed by thePirates vs. Ninjas Fest, which sounds pretty self-explanatory.

As well as the above-mentioned fests, there’ll be the usual swathe of events in the new year. We’ll still get the usual seasonal sales (summer is typically the big one), as well as Next Fest, in which “fans can try out demos, chat with developers, watch livestreams, and learn about upcoming games.”

Over the years, Steam sales became a meme-worthy phenomenon, an event notorious for bleeding personal funds. You never really know what you’re going to get during each event, but there’s always something for everyone.
