The first of the three movies that would compriseDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castleofficially received a release date. The first film is set to premiere in Japan on July 18, though an international release date has yet to be confirmed.

Aniplex announced the date during a livestream event, along with a few other interesting news. TheDemon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Trainwill be re-released in a 4K remaster. The screening will start on May 9 in Japan. Furthermore, previous arcs from the anime will also receive special screenings after being giventhe “Kimetsu Theater” treatment.

The Infinity Castle Arc serves as the grand finale toDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, bringing the long-running battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji to an epic conclusion. But unlike the seasonal adaptation of previous arcs,Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castlewill be toldthrough a trilogy of films.

Crunchyroll revealed last Decemberthat the first of the three films will premiere sometime this year. Additionally, it also confirmed the acquisition of the trilogy for a global theatrical release. Unfortunately, select Asian territories and Japan are not part of the acquisition.
