The first of the three movies that would compriseDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castleofficially received a release date. The first film is set to premiere in Japan on July 18, though an international release date has yet to be confirmed.
Aniplex announced the date during a livestream event, along with a few other interesting news. TheDemon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Trainwill be re-released in a 4K remaster. The screening will start on May 9 in Japan. Furthermore, previous arcs from the anime will also receive special screenings after being giventhe “Kimetsu Theater” treatment.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie trilogy
The Infinity Castle Arc serves as the grand finale toDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, bringing the long-running battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji to an epic conclusion. But unlike the seasonal adaptation of previous arcs,Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castlewill be toldthrough a trilogy of films.
Crunchyroll revealed last Decemberthat the first of the three films will premiere sometime this year. Additionally, it also confirmed the acquisition of the trilogy for a global theatrical release. Unfortunately, select Asian territories and Japan are not part of the acquisition.

The anime adaptation ofDemon Slayerfirst aired in April 2019. The series quickly gained traction with its mesmerizing animation. Just a year after,Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Trainstarted screening in Japan. Its seven-episode arc equivalent then premiered in October 2021.
