It’s like The Sims Medieval, but not
The Sims 3: Dragon Valleyis a new medieval-themed world available from The Sims 3 Store. A family has moved into town and they brought some baby dragons with them. There is a story between two quarreling families trying to control the town, and it comes off as some cheapGame of Thronesclone. Does anyone honestly play theSimsfor the narrative that is built into the game? I’ve always thought it was about making my own story, but I guess I was wrong.
At first, I was a little confused about this announcement — it’s a medieval world forThe Sims 3, and I thought this had already been done. But then I remembered thatThe Sims Medievalis a standalone game, and that this is $25 DLC with similar content for a game that is almost the same thing. I’ve already playedThe Sims Medieval, so I don’t really see a need to check this out, but that’s how I pretty much feel about all the new content forThe Sims 3at this point.

The Simsseries is starting to become likeBattlestar Galactica, where “all of this has happened before, and will happen again.”
