Chiropracticsurvival city builderThe Wandering Villageis coming to Xbox One and Series X|S on June 12, 2025. This comes at the same time as its Oceans update, which drops a new biome into the game.
The Wandering Villageis a post-apocalyptic city builder where you construct your settlement on the back of a giant creature that carries your people above the toxic surface of the doomed world. It’s pretty neat! You have to appease both your villagers and the creature that they live on in a pretty inventive interpretation of symbiosis. It’s been in Early Access since September 2022, receiving steady updates since then.
The Ocean update adds a new saltwater biome and mechanics based around it. There are new resources and buildings to take advantage of the maritime industry. you may discover islands and shipwrecks, and the Onbu you live on paddles through the water. It’s good stuff.
I’ve only dabbled with the Early Access at release enough to be able to confidently say thatThe Wandering Villageis a quality game. I also wasable to speakto Philomena Schwab not too long ago about the team’s influences.
