The Wit.nesis a free “tribute” to Thekla’s wonderful PlayStation 4 puzzle gameThe Witness. It isn’t a full demake — this is a demo, technically! — but there are 32 puzzles and you can walk around a basic world map when you aren’t solving panels. You’ll need an NES emulator to play.
It has a few of the rule sets but doesn’t get much more complicated than what you would find inThe Witness‘ introductory puzzle sets. As someone who has beaten the real game, I flew through everything here (though I still get inherent satisfaction out of tracing even basic solutions, so I didn’t mind).
