The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolfhad its kneecaps shattered quite some time ago, putting paid to the idea of console gamers getting their hands on Geralt’s sex-fueled RPG adventure. However, while the game is gone, it’s certainly not forgotten, with CD Projekt still keen on revisiting it.
“It definitely is considered. No particular plans though,” saysWitcher 2senior producer Tomak Gop. “The project is frozen – lies on a shelf awaiting the right moment. The only thing I could state for sure is that we’d love to pick this project up again.”

The Witcher 2is being developed for consoles, but Gop seems to advise caution even when counting onthat: “Nothing has been promised yet. Nothing has been shown yet. But everything is kept well secret and planned for.”
Well, that didn’t sound foreboding or anything, did it? We shall have to wait and see ifThe Witcherwill ever hit a home console. In any case, I’m looking forward toThe Witcher 2and just hope they iron out the kinks in this one. The firstWitcherwas good, but the bugs really held it back.

The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf still being “considered”[VG247]
