The SpotPass experiment continues

In case you haven’t heard of theZelda: Breath of the Wildchannel system, listen up.

Basically, you just load up the channel feature on your Switch, and occasionally a “gift” system will pop up for you to peruse and gain knowledge from. If you feel like it, you can click on a special button inside of said channel and get free items (read: mini DLC) for use in your game. It’s kind of like SpotPass on Switch, but there’s a catch — there’s no support for Wii U whatsoever.

Now that you’re up to speed, you may nab the new fire-centric item, the Fire Rod. Just like all the old items you can reload this an unlimited amount of times, so go crazy if you like to blow stuff up. It’s such a little thing, but experiments like this are appreciated in terms of getting me to randomly go back in and screw around; only to get wrapped up in some cockamamie quest of my own design.
